A former nurse’s aide accused of sexually assaulting two patients at separate memory care facilities in Warren County has now been charged in Butler County on several new sexual charges.

WLWT has been investigating allegations against Godbless Uwadiegwu, 59, of Middletown for months. As our stories aired, several police departments began to hear from affected families and began their own investigations, including in Butler County.

Uwadiegwu has been charged with five counts in Butler County: rape, bodily harm, two counts of gross sexual imposition and unlawful coercion.

It comes just days after Uwadiegwu pleaded guilty to two counts of gross sex imposition in Warren County.

Uwadiegwu had previously been charged with three counts of rape and three counts of gross sexual imposition.

As part of the plea, the rape charges were dropped.

Uwadiegwu is accused of assaulting two victims at two different facilities in Warren County.

The former state-registered nurse’s aide is accused of kissing, licking and fondling the breast of a woman who was a memory care patient under her care at Traditions of Deerfield.

This report sparked a criminal investigation. According to tradition, Uwadiegwu was immediately removed from the establishment.

He is also accused of having had sexual contact with a victim in Otterbein Maineville.

Sgt. Brian Hounshell, of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, said Uwadiegwu used a third-party app and healthcare staffing agency to get his job and continued to work at non-Traditions facilities during the l criminal investigation.

These new charges all relate to facilities in Butler County and, according to the indictment, there were two alleged incidents – one in 2013 and another about three years ago in 2018.

The prosecutor said the City of Hamilton Police Department and the City of Middletown Police Department were handling the Butler County investigation.
